Instant Idylle In my
surroundings, mostly in cities, now and then I discover idylls with all my senses.
They can be artificially natural or naturally artificial. I am
working with pictures and materials that I took or collected in some of my
residencies, in mountains, cities and kitchens. The connection between
pictures or materials and me is personal. They include memories. I try to
capture and to reproduce these idyllic impressions by putting aspects and
materials in my own system of memory and desire. Some materials are coming
from the mountains. Others such as synthetic materials or porcelain are
connected to the nutrition. At first view the origin of the material is not
obvious. Their assembling arises connotations and irritations. Borders
between artificial and natural blur. The final jewel embodies memories and
longings. Nevertheless it is an independent new work: an idyllic
conglomerate. |
